Anissa: 141 lbs Weight Loss
I was 41 years old, 329 pounds and getting closer to death every day. I suffered from hypertension, GERD, edema, high cholesterol, diabetes, sleep apnea, joint pain, shortness of breath, chest pain and bouts of depression that would have me lying in bed for weeks.
In April of 2010, I decided to take the first step toward a new career. I went to school, graduated at the top of my class and became a medical assistant.
In December of 2010, I met Dr. Taylor. He brought me on board at Taylor Bariatric Institute Saginaw as his medical assistant.
On January 17, 2011, Taylor Bariatric Institute Saginaw opened its doors. I did not realize it at the time, but this new career and Dr. Taylor were about to change my life forever.
On April 27, 2011, Dr. Taylor performed a laparoscopic gastric bypass on me. I began my weight loss journey.
Jump ahead to March 2013. I have lost 141 pounds. I am on NO medications (I had been on 10). My health issues have improved to the point that I no longer need medications. With the undying support of my husband, children, parents, brother and of course Dr. Taylor, I have emerged a new person.
I am now the Program Manager at Taylor Bariatric Institute. I am blessed to be able to tell people I LOVE my job! I have a passion and a purpose for what I do. Every day, I get to help others who are just as I was along their weight loss journey. I see people break through the bonds of obesity and emerge healthy and happy.
Dr. Taylor saved my life. I am blessed to be where I am today and a better person for knowing him.
If you are contemplating weight loss surgery, I urge you to meet Dr. Taylor. Together we can help you change your life forever.
